Strike actions to get automatic indexation for employees. The unions follow a so-called spearhead plan, following a predetermined plan employees at certain companies in the harbour of Rotterdam and Amsterdam down tools. The strike plans of the unions are contested at the court of Utrecht, who orders a cooling-off period in which both parties aren't allowed to take any action, but have to try to make an agreement. At the end of the first week of actions a partial agreement has been made after new negotiations. Stakingsacties met als inzet automatische prijscompensatie voor werknemers. De vakbonden volgen een zgn. speerpuntenplan, volgens een tevoren opgesteld schema wordt het werk bij bepaalde bedrijven in de havens van Rotterdam en Amsterdam geheel stilgelegd. De stakingsplannen van de Voedingsbonden worden aangevochten voor de Utrechtse rechtbank, die een afkoelingsperiode beveelt waarin beide partijen geen acties mogen ondernemen maar moeten pogen tot overeenstemming te komen. Aan het einde van de eerste actieweek is er na nieuwe onderhandelingen een gedeeltelijke overeenkomst.
